  1. ICONMANIA is a PD disk put out by AMUSE, a NY area Amiga user group.  I
  2. have taken the good parts off their disk and included them on this one.

  4. The IconsByGreg subdirectory contains many icons drawn by Greg XXXXXXX
  5. which take advantage of the tools in IconTools.
  6.  
  7. The following programs are in IconTools:

  9. ICONEXEC is a program written by John Toebes of the Software Distillery
  10. which allows an arbitrary CLI program to be executed from a workbench icon.
  11.  
  12. SETALT, also written by John, allows you to combine two icons into one.
  13. One of the images is displayed when the icon is not selected, and the 
  14. other is displayed when the icon is selected.  This allows you to do such
  15. effects as an eye which opens when you click on it, etc.
  16.  
  17. SETWINDOW, written by, you guessed it, John Toebes, allows you to specify
  18. what the window your CLI command executed with ICONEXEC runs in looks like. 
  19.  
  20. ZAPICON allows you to take any DPAINT BRUSH or AEGIS IMAGES WINDOW and
  21. turn it into an icon.
  22.  
  23. ShowILBM, in the root directory, is a quick little program to display IFF
  24. format (I)nter(L)eaved (B)it(M)aps, such as DPAINT or IMAGES pictures.
